Joab Magara is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with over 6 years of experience. He has a background in family medicine and emergency psychiatry who diagnoses, manages, and treats a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, school issues, sleep issues, and insomnia. Joab has a holistic approach, providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults. Joab graduated from La Salle University with a Master’s degree and then completed the Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Rocky Mountain University of Health Sciences. In addition to medication management, Joab incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), culturally sensitive, emotionally-focused, faith-based, motivational interviewing, and person-centered techniques (PCT) into …treatment.
