John Lewis, DMD, MS Specialist in Periodontics
Dr. John Lewis became interested in dentistry while doing his master’s thesis on bone development and healing. After graduating with a master’s degree, he went to the University of Pittsburgh to study dental medicine. He did his graduate periodontal training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Lewis has since achieved a prestigious Diplomate status in Periodontology from the American Board of Periodontology for his outstanding work on gum disease. Today, he is also an evaluator and examiner for the Dental Board of California in conscious sedation licensing. He also has acted as a consultant in periodontics to the Veterans Administration, which included lecturing and clinical instructing to general practice residents. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
