    Dr. Gargus received his medical degree/PhD in Human Genetics from the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Yale University School of Medicine and then carried out a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in Medical Genetics, also at Yale. The doctor is an ABMG board certified medical geneticist. He is affiliated with the American Society of Human Genetics, the Society of General Physiologists and the Biophysical Society. His honors and awards include the National Headache Foundation Annual Lectureship Award, and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Visiting Professor Award. He was an organizer and co-chair of the 2008 International Symposium “Calcium Diseases” and is session chair at the 2009 Society of Inherited Metabolic Disorders 11th International Congress of Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
