Dr. Jonathan Lee Raanan, MD

Jonathan Raanan, M.D. is a physiatrist (Physical Medical & Rehabilitation specialist) with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and nerve disorders. He manages patients’ pain in the back, neck and other joints by performing a wide variety of non-surgical procedures and injections, in conjunction with prescribing physical therapy. Dr. Raanan is skilled in fluoroscopically-guided epidural injections, joint injections (facet, sacro-iliac, hip), radiofrequency neurotomy, discography and intradiscal electrothermal therapy (IDET). He is also proficient in administering electrodiagnostic testing in the form of electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS).
Dr. Raanan’s extensive training included medical school and internship at UMDNJ’s New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Hospital (the combined program of Columbia and Cornell Medical Centers), where he served as Chief …Resident. This was followed by a Spine & Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery & Neuroresearch (CINN).
