Dr. Jose Chacon received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in South America, at the University of the Andes, Venezuela. He moved to New York and Texas to complete his post-graduate training. A dual trainee in orofacial pain and orthodontics, Dr. Chacon graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he completed his three-year post-doctoral program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. This school is considered to be one of the top dental schools in the US.
Following orthodontic graduation, Dr. Chacon became a certified dental specialist in orthodontics in the state of Illinois, where he has been practicing since 2003. He became a board-certified orthodontist in 2007.
In addition to his training in orthodontics, Dr. Chacon completed a Master of Science degree in oral sciences at the School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, New York. During the time he was in New York he also completed a two-year, full-time training in orofacial pain and …temporomandibular disorders.
