My goal is to help my patients understand their diagnosis and the medical challenges they face. I work with them to identify their health priorities and understand their treatment choices so that we can develop a management plan that is tailored to their individual goals and desires. I invite my patients to share with me their concerns and their understanding of their health. I really want to know what they are hoping to achieve when they come for medical care and want to ensure that they receive evidence-based medical care that is aligned with their needs. I will always respect my patients’ right to privacy, but I encourage my patients to include their loved ones in their medical care. Family and friends can be a great source of support during medical appointments and hospitalizations and when managing health care at home. Working with my patients to use our expanding medical knowledge and resources to positively impact their lives is very rewarding.
