Dr. Julian Esteban Martinez, MD

Born in Iowa, raised in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and El Salvador, Julian Martinez attended medical school at the University of Buenos Aires, where he also began his teaching career lecturing junior medical students on gross anatomy.
After graduating in 1996, he began his obstetrics and gynecology training at the %u201CHospital Antartida%u201D in downtown Buenos Aires and transferred after two years to the %u201CHospital Ostaciana B. de Lavignolle%u201D in the western suburbs of the same city, where he also spent one year as an attending, caring for the uninsured and underserved.
He returned to the U.S. In 2002, revalidated his medical degree in less than one year and was accepted as an ob and gyn resident at the Georgetown University Medical Center, where he also continued his teaching career and won numerous awards.
After finishing residency, he worked at Arlington Women’s Center for one year, spent another year in the Fairfax area and moved back to Arlington where he started …his own practice.
Even though his main interest is minimally invasive surgery, Dr Martinez continues to enjoy all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology.
