Dr. Justin Joaquin Vigil, MD

Dr. Justin Vigil was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He graduated from St. Mary’s University San Antonio, Texas in 1994 and attended the University of New Mexico School of Medicine from 1994-1998. He continued with his Anesthesiology Residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine from 1998-2002.
He completed his Pain Fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio from 2002-2003 and began a successful anesthesiology practice with Star Anesthesia in San Antonio in 2003. Having a sub-specialty certification in Pain Management, he then made the decision to devote his practice solely to pain management and joined Dr. Bill Murphy’s practice. They formed Hill Country Pain Associates in 2005.
He performs many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He has a special interest in the technique of radio frequency ablation and peripheral field and spinal cord stimulators. Dr. Vigil’s commitment to caring for patients in the Hill country allowed …the opening of the Fredericksburg and Marble Falls locations for the practice.
His wife, Elizabeth, is a teacher and both have been blessed with four children. He is committed to education and serves as school board president at his children’s school. He is also involved in his children’s activities and coaches football, basketball and soccer.

 His hobbies are diverse and include mountain biking, music, and reading. His greatest joy is spending time with his family.
