Kerri S. Bevis, M.D. is a gynecologic oncologist at Spencer Cancer Center. Dr. Bevis is originally from Birmingham, Ala. and earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she also completed her fellowship.Dr. Bevis was initially drawn to gynecologic oncology because it is a rare specialty that allows for true comprehensive care of women with cancer, and provides an opportunity for longitudinal care for patients over many years of their lives. Dr. Bevis has received several awards, including the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award in 2019 from the UAB School of Medicine, and is excited for the opportunity to make high quality cancer care more accessible for women in Lee County and the surrounding areas. Dr. Bevis and her husband have two children, Chandler and Ellery. When she is not working, Dr. Bevis enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family, exercising, and gardening.
