Kevin J. Hale, DDS, FICD, FAAPD
Dr. Kevin Hale founded Hale & Carrico Pediatric Dentistry under the name “Pediatric Dental Associates” in 1991. After completing his undergraduate and graduate studies at Indiana University, Dr. Hale undertook his pediatric residency at Loyola University in Chicago.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Hale has been an active member of the pediatric dental community by serving in organization across the state. His past achievements include residing as president over both the Livingston District Dental Society and the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Hale has taught for the University of Michigan’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry. In the past, Dr. Kevin Hale has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Board of Directors of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the Executive Committee of the Section on Pediatric Dentistry of the American Academy of …Pediatrics.
Currently, Dr. Hale is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is the current Chair of the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s Task Force on Pediatric Oral Health Advocacy.
As a firm believer in the importance of children’s dental health, Dr. Hale spearheaded the “Points of Light” project in 2005, a grassroots project, backed by the Michigan Dental Association, designed to develop a network between pediatric physicians and dentists in order to bring better oral health to children across Michigan. Points of Light is now improving the dental health of infants and children in over thirty cities across Michigan, with Dr. Kevin Hale continuing to serve as Founding Director.
Dr. Kevin Hale is married and in his spare time enjoys rock climbing, distance running and cycling.
