Dr. Laura Cathryn Risley, MD

Laura Risley, M.D., is a board-certified vascular neurologist at the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. She comes to us from the Division of Stroke and Neurocritical Care at Albany Medical Center, where she was an attending physician and an Assistant Professor of Neurology.
As part of a hospital-based practice, Dr. Risley has access to the latest technology and evidence-based medicine as well as a full range of support services for patients and their families. Dr. Risley is supported by a highly trained neurology care team who ensure open communication with patients through all stages of the patient care journey.
Dr. Risley received her medical degree from St. George’s University. She completed her neurology residency and fellowship in vascular neurology at Albany Medical College. She is a member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association / American Stroke …Association, and Medical Society of the State of New York. Over the course of her career, Dr. Risley has presented on many topics relating to strokes, performed research, as well as implemented educational activities and sessions.
