Leighton Forrester, MD, FACC is a board certified cardiologist and attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency and chief residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University in 1993. Dr. Forrester also completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University.
Dr. Forrester has been in practice in the local area for the past 18 years. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Montgomery County Medical Society and the Association of Black Cardiologists. His medical interests include adjunctive and alternative approaches to the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and strategies for patient empowerment and improving patient outcomes.
