Dr. Leslie Cuevas

Dr. Cuevas is a board certified rheumatologist who completed her training at Vanderbilt in 2004. She does not participate with any insurance plans and is therefore considered an ‘Out of Network’ provider. Patients are required to pay for their treatment at the time of service. Dr. Cuevas will provide you with a receipt (also known as a superbill) at the end of each appointment. Some patients can submit this to their insurance for the possibility of reimbursement. Please note that Medicare patients are not allowed to apply for reimbursement.
Dr. Cuevas has elected not to participate in insurance plans in order to avoid the administrative problems plaguing the healthcare system today. Working outside of the insurance system allows Dr. Cuevas to customize your treatment plan so that you can receive the treatment that your condition warrants. She is intentionally keeping staff small and her patient census small so each patient can get more direct time and attention from Dr. Cuevas …herself (instead of mostly from nurses and front desk staff). She believes that every patient is unique and merits an individualized treatment plan.
Outside of work, Dr. Cuevas likes spending time with her family, cheering for the Titans and Preds and enjoying all types of music.
