Dr. Bazzett earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where she also completed her internship and residency. She completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. She then joined the staff of the Ochsner Clinic in 2000. Dr. Bazzett is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has received numerous awards and honors for clinical and academic excellence and achievements in medical research, and has written articles for various scientific publications. Her professional expertise is in the treatment of women with malignancies of the female reproductive organs including cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva.
