Dr. Lisa M. Buckmiller was the director of two multidisciplinary teams at Arkansas Children’s Hospital prior to moving to San Antonio, The Cleft Lip and Palate Team and the Vascular Anomalies Center of Excellence.
She was born and raised in Minnesota. She attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine and completed an Otolaryngology residency at the University of California, Davis. She then came to Arkansas to obtain specialty training in Pediatric Otolaryngology with an emphasis on the treatment of Vascular Anomalies as well as Cleft Lip/Palate. She was then recruited to stay on as a faculty member in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and her practice is based at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She is an associate professor in her specialty. Dr. Buckmiller maintains active participation in several organization including the American Academy of Otolaryngology, American Society of Pediatric …Otolarynogology, American Cleft Palate Association and the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies.
She is board certified in Otolaryngology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology %u20AC” Head and Neck Surgery as well as a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, International society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies, Association of Pediatric Otolaryngologists, Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children, and the American Medical Association. She also holds the Milton & Benjamin Waner Endowed Chair in Pediatric Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
