Dr. M. Reza Mizani, MD FASN

Dr. M. Reza Mizani is the founder of South Texas Renal Care Group. Recognized by Scene San Antonio as one of the area’s Best Nephrologists, Dr. Mizani has centered his career on improving the health of the San Antonio community. Through his personalized approach to healthcare, Dr. Mizani fosters trustworthy and lasting relationships with his patients. He creates treatment plans and is present at each step of his patient’s healthcare journey. Dr. Mizani also serves as adjunct assistant professor of nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and medical director of several U.S. Renal Care Home Hemodialysis facilities. He’s a principal investigator for several clinical trials in the research division for anemia and ESRD, iron handling in ESRD patients, renal transplantation, and reversal of renal failure in diabetic kidney disease.
