Dr. Maciej Stanislaw Lesniak, MD

Dr. Maciej Lesniak is an expert in neuro-oncology–the study and treatment of tumors involving the central nervous system. He specializes in the surgical management of adult patients with benign and malignant brain and spinal cord tumors, including:Meningiomas Acoustic tumors Pituitary tumors Oligodendrogliomas Astrocytomas Glioblastoma multiforme Metastatic tumorsDr. Lesniak is the director of the University of Chicago Brain Tumor Center, a multidisciplinary group of physicians dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of patients with brain tumors. The Center provides a comprehensive approach to patient management and offers the newest, most innovative therapies. In addition, the Center actively participates in National Institutes of Health-sponsored clinical trials.Dr. Lesniak’s research interests include gene therapy and immunotherapy of brain tumors.
