Dr. Maha A. Elkordy, MD

Dr. Elkordy has practiced with CCNC since 1997. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University; and prior to attending medical school, she completed a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Thereafter she went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Duke University Medical Center. Prior to joining CCNC, Dr. Elkordy worked in the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Duke University Medical Center, where she also served on the department of medicine staff. For the past three years she has been honored and recognized with the Patient’s Choice Physician Award for providing outstanding care to her patients; and in 2011 was recognized as one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors. Dr. Elkordy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. She is also a member of the American Societies of …Hematology and Clinical Oncology.
