Dr. Miklic earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Ochsner Medical Center on Jefferson Highway in New Orleans, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Miklic also earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
