Dr. Maria Raquel Lopez, MD

I was born in Medellin, Colombia and completed Medical School at Universidad CES in 1993. After that, I completed a required year of service in the comunity as a GP.
I moved to the United States in 1995 and did a year of Internship at Boston Medical Center, Boston Medical School, followed by Neurology Residency in the same location.
After completing 2 years of Fellowship in Neurophysiology and clinical Epilepsy at Beth Deaconess Israel in Boston, Harvard Medical School, I moved to Miami and worked in private practice for 6 years.
I am currently a faculty member in the Department of Neurology with special interest in developing a clinical Neurology program as well as participating in the care of patients with a seizure disorder.
