Dr. Cadungog comes to Christiana Care from the Hospital of the University of Pennyslvania, where he recently completed a three-year fellowship in gynecologic oncology. During the first year of his fellowship, he studied the immunology of ovarian cancer and the last two learning the medical and surgical management of gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Cadungog earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 2001. He performed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine from 2001- 2005. In 2003, he served as a Galloway Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Cadungog graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1997 with a BS in chemical engineering.
He performs open radical surgical procedures for a range of gynecologic malignancies as well as advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery including cancer staging and radical hysterectomy. He prescribes, administers and follows …patients requiring chemotherapy for advanced or recurrent malignancies, or those at a high risk of recurrence.
Dr. Cadungog is board eligible from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a candidate member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
