Dr. Mark Lester Fruiterman, MD

Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Fruiterman is a 1965 graduate of Brooklyn College. After studying Physical Therapy at the Columbia School of Physicians and Surgeons in New York city for one year, he began his formal medical school training at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. He transferred to Albany Medical College in 1969.
He was elected to the medical honor society after his third year studies were completed.
Dr. Fruiterman is a 1972 graduate of the Albany Medical College. After two years at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, NY, as an intern and resident, he returned to Albany to complete the third year of his Internal Medicine training and subsequently spent two years as an Endocrinology fellow in the department of Medicine.
He entered into his solo practice in 1977. He has been privileged to watch the practice grow and mature into the current Endocrine Group.
He takes great pride in the fact that the Endocrine group was the first practice in the region to …have a fully automated medical record, the entire practice automated by 1998.
When not in the office he spends his spare time trying to shoot lower golf scores than his wife; he is also enjoying his two childrenÂ’s families with the current grandchild count at five.
