Dr. Martin Fineberg, MD

I have been with Pediatric Affiliates since 1988. A native of Melbourne, Australia I studied medicine at The University of Melbourne. I then trained in pediatrics at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne followed by a pediatric residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Following this, I undertook additional training in neonatology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In addition, I worked in the area of pediatric hematology/oncology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, Australia. I am licensed to practice medicine in California and Australia, and was board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1985. I was recertified in 2009 and am current with Maintenance of Certification with the American Board of Pediatrics. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the California Medical Association, the American Medical Association and an American Academy member of the Canadian Paediatric Society.
I was previously the director of the Neonatal …Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center. I am now full time in general pediatrics with a special expertise and interest in the care of the high-risk NICU graduate and children with pulmonary diseases. I am also the Pediatric Affiliates vaccine expert.
In my spare time I enjoy weight training and swimming and am a certified personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise. I also owns a small FM radio station in Port Douglas, Australia on the Great Barrier Reef. This station features an easy listening smooth jazz format that is popular with locals and tourists.
