Dr. Abramowitz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He obtained a BA in biochemistry from Colgate University in 1998 where he was also a member of the men’s rowing team and spent 6 months at NIH researching 3D protein structures using NMR (MRI). He worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in the Department of molecular Genetics and Microbiology while serving as the novice rowing coach for College of the Holy. He graduated with honors (AOA) from Temple University School in2003. He did a transitional internship at Crozier Chester Medical Center in Philadelphia and completed his residency in radiation oncology at Fox Chase cancer Center in Philadelphia serving as chief resident in 2007.He was recruited to join the Department of Radiation Oncology at University of Miami in 2010 and currently serves as the Co-Chairperson for …the genitourinary malignancies site disease group which oversees the clinical trial portfolio for prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular malignancies. He is also the Co-Chair of the protocol monitoring and review committee which oversees the scientific review of all clinical trials open at the cancer center.
