Matthew J. Siskosky MD is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine.
Dr. Siskosky received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was also a four-year varsity letter winner in football as a linebacker. He received multiple national intercollegiate honors, including the prestigious NCAA postgraduate scholarship.
Dr. Siskosky attended the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital. He went on to do a sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. While in Los Angeles, Dr. Siskosky was Assistant Team Physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings, and Anaheim Ducks. He currently participates in the care of many high school, college, and professional athletes.
At Oakland Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Siskosky specializes in sports medicine and …arthroscopic surgery, including surgical and non-surgical management of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. Common surgical procedures performed by Dr. Siskosky include arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability surgery, knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, and multi-ligament knee injury reconstruction.
Dr. Siskosky is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and is active in the education and training of orthopaedic residents and fellows. He is faculty for the William Beaumont Hospital Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery (AAOS) and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and has taken part in several national educational conferences. He has published several national articles on the disorders of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. Current research interests include biomechanical analysis of rotator cuff repair techniques, ACL reconstruction outcomes studies, and the biology of tendon repair and tendon-to-bone healing.
