Dr. Karpenko has joined McLeod Seacoast in Little, River, SC as of 2015. He is interested in managing benign and malignant Hematology disorders as well as general medical oncology. He is licensed and currently practices in South Carolina, and North Carolina. Dr. Karpenko is Board Certified from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. A native of Rochester, New York, Dr. Karpenko received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He completed his Internship/Residency as Chief Resident at United Health Services in Johnson City, NY. He performed his Fellowship at The Ohio State University in Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Karpenko also was a research fellow at and received a MS degree from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY. He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
