I have devoted my career to helping women through difficult pregnancies, either from the maternal standpoint, the fetal standpoint, or both. I find it immensely satisfying, both professionally and personally, to help women at a particularly vulnerable and sometimes scary time in their lives.
I am an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)-certified maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist at St. Luke’s University Health Network.
I earned my MD from Jefferson Medical College. I completed a residency in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins University where I was chosen as Administrative Chief Resident in my final year. I went on to complete a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine also at Johns Hopkins. I came to St. Luke’s from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where I enjoyed caring for underserved women and further developed my clinical and educational interests.
My interests are broad and include hypertensive …disorders of pregnancy, postpartum hemorrhage, placenta accreta spectrum disorder, prevention of venous thromboembolism, maternal sepsis, multifetal gestation, opiate use disorder, preterm birth prevention, diabetes, employment issues in pregnancy, and access to reproductive services. I provide consultation at any point in pregnancy as well as preconception and postpartum counseling. I hold certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) and CLEAR and I am active on the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Committee on Obstetric Practice as well as with critical care simulation educational activities. I have been honored for excellence in resident and medical student education.
My experience as a mother has shaped my experience as a physician. I am very proud to be here at St. Luke’s!
