Dr. Michael Eugene Funk, DDS

Michael E. Funk, DMD
was born and raised in Lancaster County and is a 1989 graduate of Donegal High School. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1998 with honors. He then completed a postdoctorate General Practice Residence Program at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton OH in 1999. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Lancaster County Dental Society. Â
Dr Funk served in the U.S. Army Reserves Dental Corps from 2001 to 2010 when he was honorably discharged in May 2010 as a Major. Dr. Funk was deployed twice during his service as a dentist providing dental exams, screenings and treated hundreds of soldiers prior to their deployment overseas.
Dr. Funk enjoys all aspects of dentistry and provides a wide range of treatment for his patients to help them maintain their beautiful healthy smiles for a lifetime.Â
He and his wife, Colleen who is also from …Lancaster county and a graduate of Conestoga Valley,  reside in Lititz with their two recently adopted cute kittens, Paco and Paul.  When Colleen is not working as a hair designer at Center Stage Salon, they both enjoy playing tennis and golf and are involved in a few local tennis leagues.  Dr. Funk is a huge Pittsburgh Panthers fan and follows their football and basketball teams very closely every year.  Dr. Funk, Colleen and our staff look forward to meeting all of our new patients and continue to provide quality dental care to each and every one of our current and new patients.  We welcome you all to our dental family at Lancaster Smiles.Â
