Meet Dr. Michael Friedman
As an orthodontist, I have a great opportunity to improve both the appearance and the self-esteem of the people in my community. I enjoy the unique blend of art and science that goes into creating a beautiful smile and the reward of building great relationships with my patients and their families.
Education
I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine with my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, magna cum laude, in 1999. I continued on to receive my Certificate in Orthodontics from Columbia University in 2002. In 2007, I became Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Continuing Education
I attend annual meetings of the
American Association of Orthodontists and continuing education lectures once a month at the local dental society meetings. I also have subscriptions to numerous orthodontic journals to ensure I am up to date on all the newest research and technology in my field.

I am originally from Mohegan Lake, NY and now reside in Southbury with my wife, Kate, who is also an orthodontist. We have two daughters named Alyssa and Abigail and a cat named Bernie.
