Michael E. Nelson, MD, FCCP, is a Board-certified pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
Dr. Nelson earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is Board-certified in pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, critical care medicine and internal medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
In addition to his work caring for patients in the Pulmonology at Shawnee Mission office and in the hospital at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, Dr. Nelson is also the medical director for the AdventHealth Sleep Center Shawnee Mission.
