Dr. Michelle Akler is a board certified ophthalmologist with over 17 years of experience. Dr. Akler has been proudly providing ophthalmic care to the Dearborn and Downriver, and East Side communities for the past 13 years. Born and raised in Canada Dr. Akler attended the University of Toronto Medical School where she graduated with top honors. Her ophthalmology residency was completed at the University of Colorado in Denver where she was known as the resident with “golden handsâ€. Dr. Akler has performed over 10,000 LASIK procedures and over 5,000 cataract surgeries with extraordinary results.
