Endodontist Milton L. Davenport, III, DMD
Dr. Davenport was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago and graduated with honors from Thornton Township High School. He decided very early on that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry but still cultivated many of his other interests, the most important of which was music.  Dr. Davenport attended Augustana College in Rock Island, IL on a music scholarship where he focused his musical talents primarily on jazz saxophone. He was also the recipient of both the Presidential and Founders Scholarship. While dividing his time between music and science, he majored in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry.  Â
After graduating Summa Cum Laude, Dr. Davenport attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While at Harvard, Dr. Davenport took on several leadership roles in the ADA and its student organizations.  His research interests were in autoimmune diseases, such as lupus and multiple sclerosis, and its …impact on oral health. Dr. Davenport also published several articles for the American Student Dental Association. After graduating from Harvard, Dr. Davenport completed a residency in endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Davenport remains at UIC as an Associate Clinical Professor in the department of endodontics, where he teaches both surgical and non-surgical endodontics.
Prior to opening Advanced Endodontics of Chicago, Dr. Davenport worked at several dental offices throughout Chicago and the suburbs. With patience and genuine kindness, Dr. Davenport can treat even the most fearful dental patient by following one simple rule…treat every patient as if they are your best friend.
