Dr. Efros graduated New York Medical College in 1982 with honors and was elected to the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Urology residency at New York Medical College in 1992. He is board certified in Urology, and was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Urologic Society. In 1992, he joined UroCare Associates, a division of Integrated Medical Professionals. He is one of the founding members of Integrated Medical Professionals. Dr. Efros is an attending physician at Winthrop University Hospital.
Dr. Efros has vast experience in all areas of Urology, such as; erectile dysfunction, incontinence, stone disease, and prostate disease and enlargement (BPH). He has expertise in minimally invasive procedures for various Urologic conditions. Dr. Efros is well experienced in major Urologic oncologic surgeries for malignancies of the prostate, kidney, and bladder and was one of the first Urologists in the region to …become trained and perform cryoablation of the prostate.
Dr. Efros has been a principal investigator in well over 100 clinical trials and is a nationally recognized clinical trials researcher and leader in this field. This experience and exposure affords Dr. Efros the ability to remain on the cutting edge of technology, new medical therapy, and product development, for a multitude of Urologic conditions. As a consequence, many patients have access to novel therapies not yet available elsewhere.
