Thanks for visiting my Kaiser Permanente home page! As a nuclear medicine physician I spend much of my time looking at images and donâ€™t often get to spend a lot of time with the patients whose studies I am reading. This page gives me the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you something about me
Education, Training and Work Experience
I grew up in Florida, where I completed college and medical school. I trained in radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and in nuclear medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. I have been in the Department of Nuclear Medicine here at Walnut Creek, practicing nuclear medicine full-time, since 2005.
Why Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine satisfies my interest in science and technology and allows me to apply my clinical knowledge in a way that impacts decisions regarding patient care. My particular interest in nuclear medicine is the imaging of cancer with Positron Emission Tomography (PET). …I belong to the American College of Radiology and the Society of Nuclear Medicine
Why Kaiser Permanente
I initially chose to work for Kaiser Permanente because I truly believe it is the best model of health care. I had been exposed to many different health care systems during my training and feel that Kaiser Permanente is able to truly provide an integrated approach to healthcare, combining quality care, health education, and prevention services.
