Dr. Mona Amin, DO is a passionate rheumatologist providing care to the community at Arizona Arthritis and Rheumatology Associates.
Dr. Amin completed her Rheumatology fellowship in 2007 and started her career at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. During her time as faculty, she was the Director of the Rheumatology Clinic and also actively involved with the medical education of students, residents, and fellows. She then moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and joined the clinical faculty at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center while continuing patient care in a clinical practice.
Dr. Amin moved to Arizona in 2011 and has been practicing rheumatology in the valley since that time. She has maintained her passion for teaching through an affiliation with Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Amin is also actively involved in various clinical research trials involving rheumatic disease. She has recently joined the AARA …family.
Although each of the providers at AARA came to the group from different backgrounds and experiences, they share a vision about how to deliver services to those who need them in the community. It is centered on effectiveness and efficiency provided in a caring and civil environment. It was the challenges of diagnosing and customizing treatment to the individual that drew everyone to rheumatology. The evolution of their technology sustains the hope that AARA can make a difference every day to each patient.
