Dr. Nadera Sweiss, MD

Dr. Nadera Sweiss is a specialist in rheumatology–the study of chronic and acute conditions that cause inflammation, discomfort and pain in muscles, joints, supporting tissues and various organs. Dr. Sweiss has a particular interest in the treatment of patients with sarcoidosis, a rare disease characterized by a build-up of immune system lesions in any organ of the body–most often in the lungs and lymph nodes.Dr. Sweiss is conducting clinical research on new therapies for sarcoidosis, scleroderma and Raynaud’s phenomenon–particularly for treatment when these disorders do not respond to traditional therapies. She is also working on an international study testing new therapies for refractory rheumatoid arthritis.
