Dr. Omar Dean Hudson, MD

Dr. Hudson returned to Florida after completing his sub-specialty training at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona. Prior to his fellowship he completed his residency in near-by Tampa at the University of South Florida. He became the second pediatric endocrinologist for newborns, infants, children and adolescents at Holmes Regional Medical Center providing care for metabolic, endocrine diseases and diabetes.
In addition to his in-patient duties as a consultant at HRMC Dr. Hudson has an office practice including being a pediatric endocrinology provider for Florida’s Children’s Medical Services.
Dr. Hudson’s personal interests are community advocacy and outreach specifically addressing the metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes in children.
