After graduating from The Ohio State UniversityCollege of Medicine and Public Health, Dr. Iyercompleted her pediatric residency at the Universityof South Florida College of Medicine and All ChildrensHospital. In 2004 she received the Pediatric ResidentTeacher of the Year Award and served as administrativechief resident. Dr. Iyer completed her pediatric endocrinology fellowshipat USF and All Childrens Hospital. From July 2009 throughJune 2011 she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics inthe Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.She created and maintained a pediatric endocrine specificiPAD curriculum for pediatric residents and pediatric endocrinefellows. Dr. Iyer is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinologyand is a member of both the Endocrine Societyand the Pediatric Endocrine Society. Her clinical and researchinterests include diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenaldisorders, disorders of growth and pubertal development,and calcium …metabolism. She is a member of the TampaBay Diabetes Society and has served as a physician for theFlorida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes.
