Dr. Parker L. Simon, DO

Dr. Simon earned his medical degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in 2003. He earned a Master’s degree of Public Health in Health Administration and Policy in 2002 from OUHSC-Tulsa. Dr. Simon completed pediatrics residency at OUHSC-Tulsa in 2006 and completed a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at OUHSC-OKC in 2009. He is board certified in pediatrics and in neonatal-perinatal medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association and the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association. He is currently practicing neonatology at Hillcrest Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri. Dr. Simon is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at OUHSC-Tulsa, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at OUHSC-OKC and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at OSU-CHS in Tulsa. Dr. Simon received the …following awards recently: Research Travel Grant, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, Aspen, CO in 2008; Educational Travel Grant, Southern Society for Pediatric Research, New Orleans, LA in 2009. He was awarded a grant through Department of Pediatrics at OUHSC-OKC to conduct a research trial in prevention of hypothermia in 2007. Dr. Simon has presented his research at local, regional, national and international meetings in both platform and poster formats.
