Dr. Paul Taylor Wilkes, MD

Dr. Wilkes received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University and earned his Doctor of Medicine and performed post-graduate work in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he received numerous honors and awards for academics and research. Dr. Wilkes has served as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nevada and as an Instructor/Fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. In addition to being widely published in respected medical journals and lecturing nationally on perinatal topics, he is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and board certified with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also board certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine and American Board of Gynecology.
Dr.Wilkes also serves on the Board of Directors for 3 local foundations. The Patrick Kelly Youth Foundation strives to help …under-privileged children achieve their educational goals by awarding bicycles and helmets, as well as scholarships for deserving high school seniors. The Jump for Joy Foundation is dedicated to fighting childhood obesity and encouraging active healthy lifestyles by sponsoring free fitness camps for local youth. Sight for Life was established in 2001 to improve the sight of Nevadans with treatable vision loss who would otherwise not receive care due to a lack of insurance or other pay source.
The father of three children, Dr. Wilkes loves soccer, triathalons, skiing, and he lives by his motto of “What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”
