Dr. Peter Matthew Gerrits, MD

Dr. Gerrits is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. He graduated from Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his Pediatric residency and fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He was the Chief Pediatric Resident at Iowa as well. He is a member of the Lawson Wilkin’s Pediatric Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association. He has been a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Advisory Council to the Michigan Department of Health Newborn Screening Program.
Dr. Gerrits has a special interest in adrenal disorders and Turner’s syndrome. He provides evaluation care and treatment of children with diabetes and endocrine disorders. He was named one of the Metro Detroit area’s “Top Docs” by Hour Detroit magazine in 2008.
