Dr. Schrank earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1995 after earning two B.S. degrees in Engineering Science and Psychobiology from the University of Miami. He received his orthopedic residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases where he was named Administrative Chief Resident. His post-graduate training included a fellowship in sports medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic clinic in Los Angeles serving as assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Angels, and the USC Trojan football team. He received the outstanding clinical research award while at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Dr. Schrank served as the President of the Medical Staff and Chairman of the Medical Board at St. Charles Hospital from 2010 2012.Dr. Schrank specializes in the treatment of all shoulder conditions …including arthritis, trauma, and sports injuries. He has performed thousands of shoulder and elbow surgeries, both arthroscopic and reconstructive. He currently performs a comprehensive array of surgical options for rotator cuff injuries including revision rotator cuff repair, superior capsular reconstruction, and patch augmentation. Dr. Schrank serves as a corporate instructor for courses on total shoulder replacement and reverse total shoulder replacement. He performs stateoftheart shoulder reconstructions for all forms of shoulder instability.
