I’ve been practicing medicine for almost 30 years, and I can’t imagine doing anything else. My favorite thing about being a pediatrician is becoming part of the family. Seeing a child from the first days of life all the way through to adolescence is truly amazing. I’m very humbled and proud to be voted Osceola County’s best pediatrician, but what’s truly rewarding is having parents who were my patients as children, bringing their own children in to see me.
In the Philippines, where I was born and raised, I was inspired by my neighbor who was a physician. For years I watched as he helped people — especially sick children — get well and grow up. I thought it was incredible that someone could help heal and make such a difference in a person’s life. I knew early on this was what I wanted to do.
My passion is helping children grow into strong, confident adults. As a doctor I can influence a child’s life and I take that to heart. When I was young, my doctor was my friend and that’s my goal …with my patients and families. I enjoy celebrating successes and helping my patients through struggles by providing healing and advice in times of sickness and in health.
I regularly participate in medical missions in the Philippines, and I’m grateful to be able to help children who are sick get back to just being kids. I also treat every child as my own and will do whatever it takes to ensure that all of my “children” are healthy and strong.
