Dr. Raanan Arens graduated from Sackler School of Medicine in Israel in 1985. He completed a residency in pediatrics in Israel and later pursued a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. In 1995, he joined the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Director of the Sleep Disorders Center for 10 years. Since 2005 he has directed the Division of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and the Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship Program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Arens’s research interests include studying the anatomical and functional mechanisms contributing to sleep apnea in children utilizing novel MRI methodology.
