Since bringing her talents back to Maryland, it has been a true pleasure for Dr. Maina to serve the community in which she grew up in. She pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Since then, she has continued to embrace the dental field’s advancements through continuing education.
Dr. Maina provides a high level of one-on-one attention, precision, and professionalism, which makes her a trusted provider in her community. Dr. Maina is originally from Kenya and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She practiced in Washington D.C. with a heavy focus on periodontic and prosthodontic treatments before returning to Maryland.
Dr. Maina practices the full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry. She believes in working closely with her patients to help them maintain healthy living by providing comprehensive and up-to-date oral care with an emphasis on prevention and education. She …combines her keen eye for detail with her compassionate nature to care for her patients as the cornerstone for her practice ideals. Dr. Maina engages her patients in their treatment plans, offering multiple options, and explaining their options to them carefully to help them meet their oral health goals. She takes pride in the feelings of satisfaction and transformation her patients feel when they love their smiles.
Dr. Maina is a member of AGD (Academy of General Dentistry), ADA (American Dental Association), and MSDA (Maryland State Dental Association). In her free time, you can find Dr. Maina doing all sorts of fun activities with her family and friends. She especially enjoys being active outdoors, traveling and learning about different cultures.
