Dr. Ralph Raymond Chesson, MD

Ralph R. Chesson, MD received his undergraduate education from the U.S. Naval Academy and his Medical Degree from Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He completed an Internship and Residency at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia and later returned to a faculty position after completing a three year tour at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base in North Carolina. After retiring from the Navy as a Captain in November 1984, he opened a private practice in Norfolk, Virginia and started a Urogynecology clinic at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1985. After 10 years he left private practice to join the faculty at LSUMC.
