Ramesh Patel, M.D., Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist, joined the Miller Children’s Hospital team in 1989. Dr. Patel is an member of Pediatric and Adolescent Hematology Oncology Associates and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics, University of California, Irvine. Dr. Patel takes care of children with serious and/or chronic blood diseases and cancer. He is in charge of the Neuro-oncology and Hematology-Oncology CCS Clinics. Dr. Patel also treats children burdened with high blood lead levels. He is a consultant for both City of Long Beach and City of Los Angeles Health Departments. At Long Beach Memorial he is an active Member of eight Committees. He is chairperson of two committee boards and one vice-chairperson committee. Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Responsible for giving lectures in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology to the Pediatric Residents and Medical Students of UCI that rotate through Miller Children’s Hospital.
