Raoul Mayer, M.D., Ph.D. has a bachelors degree from Columbia University. in Biology. He earned his M.D. and doctorate degrees from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Mayers doctoral research was in the field of immunology. His general surgery internship and residency was also completed at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, including one year as chief resident in Surgery. Dr. Mayer then acquired specialty training in colon and rectal surgery during his fellowship at The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He has published more than 20 book chapters and research articles and has presented his work at national meetings.
