Dr. Rathna Amarnath, MD, is a Pediatric gastroenterologist Practicing in Murrells Inlet. Dr Amarnath finished his residency in Pediatrics at Children’s hospital of New Jersy/UMDNJ program, and His Pediatric gastroenterology fellow ship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Dr. Amarnath did his medical education in India. He has special interest in Esophageal disease such as Reflux, swallowing problems and motility disorders of the Esophagus, he attends all general Pediatric Gi disorders such as Abdominal pain, constipation, feeding problems. Dr. Amarnath is experienced in all endoscopic procedure such as Upper endoscopy and Colonoscopy; he can also perform specialized tests such as 24hr pH study for reflux and Video capsule endoscopy as well. He is primarily located at MUSC at Tidelands health in Murrells Inlet.
Dr. Amarnath is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology from the American Board of Pediatrics.
