Dr. Robert Steven Knego, MD

Dr. Robert Knego specializes in complex spinal reconstruction, minimally invasive spinal surgery, brain tumors, radiosurgery and pain surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, where he completed his Post Doctoral training. Dr. Knego is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and licensed to practice in both Florida and Texas. He is affiliated with Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, Cape Surgery and Doctors Same Day Surgery. Dr. Knego’s clinical research experience includes several ongoing studies. He serves on the faculty at Kyphon and lectures on the topic of restoring spinal function through minimally invasive therapies. Dr. Knego is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Florida State Medical Society. He also serves on the Professional Advisory Board of …the Cancer Support Community.
